Childhood Nutrition

More than a quarter (27%) of children age 2-15-years in England are reported to be overweight or living with obesity according to NHS England, and 5% of 8-15 year olds are trying to gain weight (NHS England).
If you have concerns over your child’s weight or eating habits, or would like to learn more about how to prepare more healthy food for them around your life demands, and navigate through challenges of fussy eating, the temptations of processed and fast foods, and takeouts, this course is for you.
The 1 ½ course identifies your challenges, provides foundational nutritional knowledge, and guidance with useful resources and practical tips to overcome your challenges. “Dietary preferences and habits” are learned behaviors that are picked up from just a few months of age – this course helps you make the right start for them.

Nutrition for Older Adults
Loss of appetite, lack of energy, not as active as you used to be, or you think you’re not getting your nutrients in the food you eat due to your circumstances?
As we get older, our bodies change (as do our circumstances) and this 2-hour course explains some of the changes we may see, and discusses practical ways to overcome challenges in eating well and staying active. With help from discussion, materials provided and practical tips, you will learn how to make simple yet appetizing meals that you can enjoy and obtain essential nutrients for good health.

Nutrition for Workouts & Exercise
Trying to get the most out of your workouts or put on muscle mass?
These sessions provide knowledge and help individuals plan their meals and snacks to obtain optimal nutritional values to support their workout training.
Understand the fundamentals for burning energy, such as “NEAT” and “HIIT” and optimal protein intakes. By obtaining tips and guidance on type and timing of your nutrient intakes based on your workouts, you will be able to complement your meals and snacks with your workouts to achieve the look and activity levels you desire.

Corporate Group Workshops
Want to empower the wellbeing of your employees and improve productivity?
In the UK, poor employee health and mental wellbeing has a significant economic impact, costing the economy £102 billion in 2023 alone, largely due to lost productivity, sickness absence, and turnover.
This 8-week course (of 1-hour sessions) is intended to increase workforce wellbeing and thereby productivity by offering them the knowledge to stay healthy by eating well and staying active. Challenges to healthy eating will be discussed, a curriculum of nutrition knowledge taught and habits discussed to see how they affect health. All-round guidance, tips and motivation will be structured to improve nutrition-health outcomes aided with worksheets and numerous resources to achieve individual health goals and healthy meal plans that suit their circumstances.
